Description: This is a original pair of vintage Quad Eight CA-127 line amps. I think this is the earliest version. If you’re looking at this you probably already know the story but if not there is plenty of info on them on the internet. Basically, these are line amps that come from a vintage Quad Eight console that are commonly converted to very nice sounding mic preamps with the addition an input transformer, gain control, various optional features, a box and a power supply. Orphan Audio and JLM Audio make kits that make this project much easier. These have been tested and are working. It looks like they have not been recently recapped so you might want to do that for best results. I was going to rack them up myself but have not had time. I will include a pair of edge connectors. I’m using the same picture as the last pair sold because they are basically identical. If you would like a picture of the actual pair that I will be sending to you just let me know. A racked pair of these can easily sell for over $2k so if you have time and are handy with the soldering iron you can easily save a lot of money.
