The element is mounted within a metal 5" ring, and threaded to a vintage heavy-weighted adjustable-heigh desk stand. (Note: the ring will also thread onto any other desk/floor stand or boom.) The cable is 8 feet long with a standard 1/4" male phono plug. (We can wire up an XLR if you prefer.)
