This is a scarce Canadian Long Service Medal, only 505 Geo VI R.C.N. medals having been issued. With a copy of his redacted service file. Leopold Courville was born on 3rd August 1900 at Hull, Quebec and was a Cinema Operator when he enlisted at Victoria, B.C. on 13 Nov. 1923. he was married to Florence May Blagg. His Coronation and Long Service medal are confirmed along with his others in his papers. He died on 24 August 1988 at Victoria, B.C. There is a photo of him and more info on ancestry.
