Description: Rare Earth Element bearingbastnaesite breccia, New MexicoA great Rare EarthElement ore specimen of Ce, La, and Y bearing Bastnaesite breccia,rare-earth-element ore from the Gallinas mountains, Lincoln County New Mexico A yellow-red bastnaesite and baritebearing fragmental breccia. A Certified Assay Laboratory verified that thisrare breccia sample contains; 1.71% Total Rare Earth Elements. 2.86% Ba, 7.84%F and is relatively enriched in all the Light Rare Earth Elements including Nd(monazite?) and is strongly anomalous in all the Heavy Rare Earth Elementsespecially Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Yb, Lu, and Y. it is weakly anomalous Au, Cu, Pb,and Zn, but contains little Ag, Mo, Th, and U.The Bastnaesite occurs in a purple orbrown stained, porous aggregate of interlocking crystals of basite, bastnaesite, fluorite, quartz goethite and hematie pseudomorphs after pyrite.Fresh crystals of bastnaesite are found wedged between crystals of barite, andin close association with fine-grained fluorite. There is no question that this raremineral would make a fantastic addition to anyone's mineralcollection. Good well-documented ore specimens from this area are notcommon. I personally collected this sample and paid for the assay results froma certified geochemical laboratory in 2014.We stand fully behind our productsand offer a full refund minus shipping.
