Description: This is a porcelain half doll figurine is marked "Germany" on the back and with a number that appears to be 5551,but is a little hard to determine absolutely. Research has indicated that these half dolls were most popular from the 1920's to the 1940's and this example is most likely from the 1920's. These figurines have a pierced base and were attached to things such as pincushions, powder puffs, small whisk brooms, or sometimes simply a decorative skirt and used to cover toiletries on the dressing table. This half doll is approximately 3 inches high by 1 1/2 inches wide. There is no damage on this vintage/antique item.
