Description: This is a vintage “Mi-Pet” The Western Foundry Co., Chicago, no. 4 cast iron oval roaster with lid. This is a hard to find item. It is used and in very good condition with no cracks or chips, it does have a slight wobble that a business card will correct. It does have some light pitting on the cooking surface. There is some possible pitting on the handle and on the 3 ribs on one end of the lid, it can be seen in the last 2 pictures. The handle looks like pitting and the ribs looks like possible casing flaws, you be the judge on those. It has been cleaned in an electrolysis tank and seasoned 4 times with Crisco shortening to give it a hard non sticky finish. Weight——10 lbs. 5 Oz.
