Meermin Mallorca Shell Cordovan Plain Toe Bluchers, Burgundy, UK 11, US 11.5-12

Description: These are a very expensive and very nice pair of Meermin plain to blucher shoes. They are made from shinki shell cordovan. They are 11 uk which are supposed to be a 12 US but fit more like a 11.5 to me. They can pass for 12 but with thin socks.. These shoes are burgundy in color, they have started to develop a patina, they have very rich tones of red and brown, the shell cordovan seems to have a very good depth. They have a few scratches and water spots on them, I ran out of Venetian shoe cream. I have tried several things on the shoes but what makes them look the best is a good rub down with Venetian shoe cream, which you can order off of Amazon, after they dry give them a good brushing with a clean horsehair brush. The best bet is to get a brand new brush and devoted just to these shoes, you do not use it with any other shoes that have polish on them or different types of conditioner. When these shoes have a fresh conditioning and brushing, they look absolutely amazing. They don't look bad in the photos now but Venetian shoe cream does wonders. They came from the factory with JR Soles, you can see that the blind stitch is just starting to show the threads around the outside, these shoes have lots of life left in them, I would say that you could get two or three years out of them before getting the soles changed. It really just depends on how often you wear them and how rough you are on your shoes. When I first got the shoes I skived two pieces of leather and glued them to the toe of each shoe because I did not want the edge of the shoe to wear down. I also did not want metal toe taps, these have served their purpose and cannot even tell that they are on the shoes. As long as you keep a heel tab on the heels the top lift will not have to be changed for a while. The original price of these shoes was right around $450. You can see that the last photo has some odd creasing on the inside of the right shoe I don't know if that's from the way it was put on the last when the shoes were made or what. It does not affect the way that the shoes wear and because of the angle you cannot see it either. Just remember these shoes love to be conditioned with Venetian shoe cream, the more you put it on there and brush them the shinier they will be when you wear them.
