The tracks are in good shape. Two of the curved track connector came off but the included Velcro pcs keep everything tight. It take 6 c type batteries that go into the coal car. To turn on, you press the smoke stack (see picture). Any child would absolutely love this. All of the cars have been wrapped in bubble wrap and so have the tracks. This box will be packed well so should ship without any damage. My son is hoping another child will get this and enjoy it as much as he has.
