Description: This is an amazing small African tribal sword letter opener from Disneyland's Jungle Cruise. This was originally purchased at Disneyland in the the early 1970s. A few years ago this was picked up at an estate sale in California. The son of the original owners of the house said that it was purchased in the 1970s, of course jungle cruise at Disneyland opened opening day in 1955. It is made of wood, and measures about9 1/4 inches tall. Looks like there's some kind of a scratch or something going through one of the sides. It isn't very long just an inch or so. It's not a crack so it doesn't seem to be affecting the piece. Just appears to be a surface scratch that is fairly deep but not a split. Again it is not a complete split in the wood only a deep scratch. This is an authentic African tribal piece. Back in the 1950s and '60s, Walt Disney himself and his imagineers would travel to the countries and purchase the gift shop items from the actual countries that they come from. Jungle Cruise would have things from africa, asia, and South america, the tiki room would have things from Polynesia and so on. Domestic shipping will be $7 USPS ground advantage with delivery confirmation. All overseas will be $30....
