Description: One new complete set of Avalon Hill Blitzkrieg (’65) board game counters made simpler. The counters are double-sided. All the stock units are there on the sheet, with half-values printed on the reverse side. No need to keep a whole selection of replacement counters around. If a unit takes a loss, flip it over.For further step replacements, kampfgruppe – or ad hoc/Brigade group – counters are also included. If a unit takes a second hit, replace them with a double-sided brigade group counter with lowered strength and movement factors. The armor is replaced with a 2-5 counter that flips over to become a 1-5 counter. The infantry replacements are 1-3s with a (1)-3 on the backside – the parentheses indicating that it is defensive strength only. These brigade group counters can be used as replacement counters as well.Instead of four sheets of counters – about 250 – there are only two sheets with fewer than 130 total counters. Easier to keep track of.The counters have been redone in dress uniform colours with larger graphics. Imaginative “national” flags in appropriate colours have been added to the counters to aid in identification.Some new items have been added. Four engineer regimentshave been added as well as - to give them something to do - three pontoon bridge counters and several fortification counters. You will have to devise your own rules on how to use these. These are new style counters, printed on heavy cardboard and die-cut.
