Antique RAINAUD? Torch? Lamp Reverse Painted Peacock Convex Slag Glass Shade

As more than a way to brighten a room, a way to brighten ones day.Up for consideration is this Rare One of a Kind Awesome Antique Torch Lamp with what we believe is a Rainaud Reverse Image Painted Peacock Slag Glass Shade and featuring a Black Painted Base. We would recommend that a low or no heat bulb be used in order preserve it's current condition and prevent future paint fading and loss.Being green thinkers we took a hanging lamp and placed it as shown on the black base.It is in very good to excellent antique estate condition. This is another lamp we have married a base and shade. The reverse painted glass has areas of age related fading, loss and scratches (see photos). There are no chips or cracks in any of the glass. There are areas of age related fading and scratches on the bases paint (see photos). There are areas of tarnish or patina on the shade metal (see photos). The shade has a flip top to access the bulb. The hinge does work but it is very old. There is a set screw holding the lid in place (see photos). Please view all photos carefully as they are a part of the item description. It measures approximately 6 inches in diameter at top shade, 7 inches in diameter for base and 26 inches tall. Again, please view all photos and ask any questions prior to purchase.
