Fields home in Bel-Air, scene of domestic disturbance This is an original press photo. Los Angeles, California: W.C. Fields' palatial home in exclusive Bel-Air district which was the scene of a disturbance between the noted actor, his secretary and butler. Police were called and later left only to be recalled by the secretary, Miss Carlotta Monti, who wanted fingerprints taken from a rubber hammer with which she allegedly claimed to have been struck. The argument was said to have arisen when Miss Monti came home late at night after forgetting her passkey. Photo measures 8.5 x 6.75inches. Photo is dated 9-24-1937.
